It is my great pleasure to invite you to the 13th Congress of the College of Ophthalmology of Eastern, Central and Southern Africa (COECSA), taking place in Kampala, Uganda,December 2nd to 4th 2026 under the theme:
“The Future in Sight: Innovating Together for Equitable and Sustainable Eye Care.”
This year’s programme has been carefully designed to deliver a rich educational experience, featuring internationally renowned faculty, keynote lectures, subspecialty symposia, instructional courses, hands-on wet laboratories, surgical skills transfer sessions, free paper and poster presentations, leadership forums and exhibitions showcasing the latest innovations in ophthalmology.
Our scientific programme reflects the evolving landscape of eye care, with dedicated sessions spanning cataract and refractive surgery, cornea, glaucoma, retina, paediatric ophthalmology and strabismus, oculoplastics, neuro-ophthalmology, ocular oncology, public health, artificial intelligence, research and leadership.
