It is my honour and pleasure to invite you to the 13th Annual COECSA Congress to be held at Speke Resort Munyonyo-Uganda. This auspicious event is intended to provide a platform for scientific discourse, collaboration, networking and connecting with old friends/colleagues.

The Ophthalmology Society of Uganda (OSU) in partnership with College of East, Central and Southern Africa (COECSA) are eager to host you all for this 3-day event. We promise to deliver cutting edge scientific research, immersive hands-on wet and dry labs, as well as relevant break-out sessions. Our panel of speakers has been carefully curated to fairly represent local and global scientific perspectives.

Uganda is known as the “Pearl of Africa” because of its because of its stunning natural beauty, rich biodiversity, and favourable climate. The phrase was popularized by Winston Churchill in his 1908 book My African Journey. After visiting the country, he was so impressed by its landscapes, wildlife, and people.
